TestPlant appoints Werner Schmücking to Technology Advisory Board

Software quality firm to benefit from insight and experience of former Siemens executive

London, UK – July 13, 2015 – TestPlant, the maker of the eggPlant range of software quality tools, today announced it has appointed experienced telecommunications executive, Werner Schmücking, to its Technology Advisory Board.

Currently a strategic advisor to the IT and telecom industries, Mr. Schmücking had a 40-year career with Siemens serving in sales, marketing, product management and development, general management and strategic planning roles in the company’s telecommunications businesses. He has held CEO, Chairman and board posts in companies across Germany, Italy, the USA and the UK.

Mr. Schmücking was also President of the German Telecom Manufacturers Association (ZVEI), and was co-founder and VP of the German Association for IT, Telecom and New Media (BITKOM). TestPlant recently opened a new sales and support office in Berlin Germany, which is recognized by analysts as one of the largest markets in the world for software testing.
