Leading software quality tool maker targets Germany, Europe’s biggest testing market.

London, UK, and Berlin, Germany – March 03, 2015 – TestPlant, the maker of the eggPlant range of software quality tools, today announced it has opened a new sales and support office in Berlin, Germany. This is the company’s first location in continental Europe and adds to its existing operations in London, Shanghai, San Francisco and Boulder.

The office puts TestPlant in the heart of the German software development sector – Berlin is a major center for both established multi-national companies and innovative software startups. TestPlant’s German office will be headed by experienced businessmen Jürgen Haas and Alexander Käsbohrer.

“We have admired TestPlant’s remarkable international success over the past six years in the UK, the Americas and in Asia,” said Business Manager, Jürgen Haas. “We have a huge opportunity to extend eggPlant’s use and customer base in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by bringing our commercial and support skills closer to our customers. Existing eggPlant users already include BMW and Lufthansa.”

“Germany is recognized by analysts as one of the largest markets in the world for software testing,” said Antony Edwards, CTO, TestPlant. “The country is noted for its strengths in industries including automotive, banking and systems engineering – all sectors that our eggPlant test automation tools are already very strong in.”

TestPlant is the company behind the eggPlant range of software quality tools which test and measure software’s performance on devices, networks and servers. The range includes functional automation, network emulation and server virtualization solutions and is deployable in agile, mobile and DevOps environments, as well as in legacy mainframe and desktop systems. eggPlant tools help reduce time to market, lower cost and improve quality. Furthermore eggPlant Manager provides a process audit and reporting trail, important in large and regulated businesses.

TestPlant’s CEO George Mackintosh, who in January this year met Angela Merkel during the German Chancellor’s visit to London, said, “We are very excited to have operations in Germany, a market noted for its international banking strength, its major retailers and of course for its engineering. eggPlant products are perfectly suited to digital business in banking and retail, and powerful in automotive, aerospace and in internet-of-things design.”

Through its Berlin office, TestPlant aims to build on its rapid international growth, which has seen it achieve a compound annual growth rate of more than 1010% over the past five years, as reported and recognized by Deloitte in the Tech Fast 500 EMEA 2015.
