Eggplant Uses VNC to Connect to Any System

VNC is open source software for controlling remote computers, with free versions available for virtually every operating system.

VNC allows Eggplant to send keyboard and mouse events to a remote system.
VNC sends the display image from the remote system back to Eggplant.
VNC was written to be lightweight and have as little impact as possible on the remote machine.
Eggplant customers use VNC on many different platforms including: Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, HP-UX, AIX, Solaris and Linux.
Hardware KVM devices supporting VNC are available for BIOS testing, alternate OS control, or for 100% non-intrusive testing.
For greater security Eggplant supports encrypted SSH communications to the test system.
