London, 6 April, 2009: Launch of eggPlant for Linux: new version of world-leading test tool

eggPlant, the world’s leading user experience automated test software, has been launched today in a Linux version by TestPlant. eggPlant for Mac was the original and first graphics-based test tool which came to market in 2002. Together these products form the new eggPlant "v10" release. Built on the "newStep" cross-platform technology base, eggPlant v10 will soon also include eggPlant for Windows, enabling companies to deploy eggPlant technology throughout the enterprise on the platform of their choice. 5 January 2009: TestPlant out-performs revenue expectations and secures further funding from investors and management to support expansion drive in 2009.

After record trading in the final quarter of 2008, TestPlant has secured another round of funding from existing investor Seraphim Capital supported by both Chief Executive George Mackintosh and Chairman Jon Richards. Funds raised now total £1,500,000 since the acquisition in September 2008 of Redstone Software Inc by TestPlant Limited which is registered in the UK. TestPlant operates in Europe as TestPlant Europe and from 1 January 2009 the US business will be known as TestPlant Inc. The old Redstone operation has been fully integrated into TestPlant and the business now runs under one brand, one management structure and with one key “user interface testing” technology, eggPlant. A new office was opened in the City of London to support and develop European customers. The US office has been expanded and continues to be located in Boulder, Colorado. Read more...


13 October 2008: New Office in London

TestPlant has opened a new office in London. The company which acquired Redstone software in September 2008 has created a new head office and is building a sales and support team to assist new and existing customers around Europe. The office in The City of London, one of the world’s busiest business hubs, is located within walking distance of St Paul’s Cathedral and the famous court house, the Old Bailey.

George Mackintosh, the Chief Executive said: “We have been funded by a group with UK and US partners and it’s entirely appropriate we have a physical presence in both these great continents. With a multi linguistic team already in this new office, we’re ready to offer exactly the sort of immediate support our European customers – new and existing – will expect. London is an extraordinary mix of people and businesses and with easy train and air links to continental Europe we can be, for example, in the heart of Paris or Brussels within a three hour commute from our desks. The City of London offers remarkable gateways to North American and Asian economies and we have already availed ourselves of the goodwill our location affords.”
