Vine is a popular VNC solution for Mac OSX from TestPlant. Both the VNC Server and VNC Viewer are free and available for immediate download.
VNC (virtual network computing) is a remote desktop application based on the RFB (remote frame buffer) protocol. It allows you to send keyboard and mouse events to a remote machine and see the screen of that machine over a TCP/IP network. VNC is used in a wide variety of ways including IT helpdesks, remote system administration, education, and of course test automation! Vine is VNC for Mac, both the VNC Server that runs on the system to be controlled, and the VNC Client that controls the server remotely.
eggPlant Functional demonstrates the power of VNC’s ability to interact with any platform and any hardware in a consistent and simple way.
Older versions of the VNC Server and Client are also available for those who need compatibility with older versions of Mac OSX.
You must insert a valid license key in order to run Vine. Vine is a free product, so please enter the following license key for the VNC Client when prompted: l4ip-wi87-ysc6-oj9
